And try out some new posing/lighting techniques. Little Miss A was a strong girl, she let me have my way 50 % of the time, and she won the other half 
So happy I got to try out some new things, thank you sooo much for bringing her in. It was a pleasure meeting all of you!!
A while ago I attended a workshop put on by the amazing Laura Brett. I learned new techniques and how to use studio light to get the soft look of natural light. The look that I love without all the hassle!!!
I have since been preparing for my next newborns… I have ordered some new amazing fabrics and wraps and headbands and hats, practised my studio light to get the look and most important of all – a NEW BEANBAG!
I am so very excited to take my newborn photography to the next level. It is something I absolutely love doing, and now I feel more confident in myself and skills.
The workshop was amazing and I can’t wait to put some techniques to use!

My friend had another baby!!! This is baby #3 for a family we just love!! And finally….. it’s a BOY!!! He was so cute and so easy going, his shoot was a dream!
We were all so impressed with how he handled the shoot, we were convinced it was the best shoot ever. And then…. his sisters ran in and TOTALLY stole the show. Seriously, laughing, giggling, posing and checking the LCD they were all over it. Which was a shock considering how hard it has been getting Miss S to want to be in any photos pretty much her whole life!
Then we knew it was really the best shoot ever.
Thanks for bringing your family over, we all had fun! Even in the craziness of having 4 other kids running around causing chaos!
His aunt made this awesome hat and the blanket was his own. Made for some gorgeous pics of the little man!
This beautiful hammock was made by my cousin’s MIL in Winnipeg! I bought a bunch of cute hats and chunky blankets from her while I was out there! And I am ordering some hats for Ro and Kade for the fall and winter this year You can find her facebook page here . Go ahead and like it! She makes tons of original items and can custom make pretty much anything you can design! Her prices are not to be beat, I had a ton of fun shopping.

The sisters who stole the show
My friend had a baby!! #3!! And she is so so cute! A full head of hair and these gorgeous eyes! Which she showed off the entire session. No sleeping for this little cutie pie!
And now… this cutie pie lil girl sweet little Miss I is currently at the Children’s Hospital. IV’s, a spinal tap, blood tests, the whole nine. She is a sick little girl and her and her mommy could use some thoughts and prayers I am sure. Get better soon sweet girl.

His mom went through 20 hours of labor. First baby. Pretty common…. but just wait….
no epidural.

My oh my little man J is quite cool! Just wants to kick back and relax and take in EVERYTHING around him. He may not have slept much… in fact he finally nodded off as we completely lost daylight and had to call it a night, but he was content.
Completely. Happy just to be there. Checking everything out without making a peep. Such a cool lil man, I had so much fun with him and his family. Now a family of 3

Are words really necessary with a picture like that?? I have so many pics I want to share from this session. This little princess’s mom is also a photographer, I posted a few other pics here and we had a ton of fun doing this session. She is such a beautiful girl, and luckily very sleepy for her big photoshoot!! 2 sleepers in a row….. amazing!
I wanted to steal this chair. Badly. A you better hide it before I show up at your house tomorrow I may hold the blankets I accidentally swiped from you hostage!
I think this may be a most favorite picture ever. The lighting and colors were just amazing… I just love it.
This little man in my friend J’s ray of sunshine. Well, her third ray really He is the happiest baby… I took so many smiling pictures of him it is unbelievable!!! Although, when you see the smiles on her other children’s faces, I would say it is a family trait!!
Thanks so much J&J for bringing him by. I can not believe how together you are with three little ones AND getting everyone over to my place for a morning shoot!!! He was such a little pleasure to spend time with, and Kade truly enjoyed spending some time with the bigger kids!! Enjoy your sneak… you have a whack of smiley pics coming your way!!!

Itty Bitty baby feet……
How cute are these 3 kids!!!
I met this amazing couple when I photographed their maternity session. Loved them as soon as I met them. She is also a photographer, so I was incredibly honored she asked me to take their pics And then I got to come back for the newborn pics!!! We had a blast, and even though princess A was a total sleeper, we had fun setting up all sorts of shots with her.
For a mom that just had a baby she is incredible. For a first time mom that makes her amazing in my books. She has every worry I remember having and we had a chance to really talk while we were torturing princess A. But she is so easygoing and relaxed with A!! You are such a great mom, princess A is so lucky to have you both as parents!!
I wanted to just post a few of the whole family first… the light was AMAZING in their bedroom and I have fallen in love with these pictures!
